I joined NYWICI as its website editor in 2006 and participated in numerous site redesigns as a lead content designer and managing editor. The site was moved from Drupal to WordPress in April 2018. Here are samples of our various homepage redesigns over the years.
The client had a WordPress website that needed to be refreshed but not completely redesigned. The site incorporated two blog feeds from two separate WordPress sites, both with different URLs. The goal was to fold all feeds into one and change visuals and call-to-actions throughout the site.
This client had no prior website and was reluctant to incorporate any online “bells and whistles” or the use of photos, videos, audio, or slideshows. The client was not interested in adding a blog to the new site and preferred a static HTML with a "print layout" rather than using the WordPress platform.
The school had a very small tech-averse staff and was heavily invested in print advertisements. They needed to redesign their static HTML-based website, which had not been updated for many years, to recruit more students. I built the site on WordPress.
